Just 1.5 miles from the heart of Keswick, stroll into the town and find plenty to keep you entertained. After whetting your appetite at one of many eateries, visit the attractions, swim in the pool, take little ones to play in Fitz Park or take to the water and board a boat across Derwentwater. If you fancy making a splash, hire your own boats and paddle the day away. 3 miles away is the Castlerigg Stone Circle where you can take in the views from this mysterious location. After days out, enjoy a night off from the kitchen and visit one of Portinscale s local pubs where you can savour a cold drink. Head inside the glass porch where you can leave boots and outerwear fresh from adventures. The hallway has a grandfather clock and monk s bench and leads to all the rooms in the house. On arrival, make your way into the lounge/diner where you can relax and admire views through the large windows. Take a seat in front of the TV/DVD or sit with a book. There is a handy desk for doing work and you can access the garden from the area near the dining table. Before you serve up at the table, spend time cooking in the bright, contemporary kitchen with built in fan oven, gas hobs, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer and washing machine. While the tumble drier resides in the cupboard in the hallway. The breakfast bar is a great spot to gather with a cup of tea and the room boasts lovely, verdant views. Before heading to bed, enjoy a shower in the family shower room with WC or a soak in the tub in the family bathroom with WC. Rest your head in one of our three lovely bedrooms, The twin room is a lovely space in which to drift off and has plenty of books to help you doze. With a lovely bay window, the master bedroom has a super king size bed which can be made up as twin beds if requested at time of booking. Finally, the double bedroom is decorated in tranquil tones to help you enjoy a peaceful night s sleep. Take a drink outside to the balcony, reached from the lounge, and enjoy basking in the fresh air. There is a sloping front garden where you can also spend time in the sun, and bike storage is available in the garage. If you want to make your way into the back garden from the front of the house, take the steps from the patio (with handrail) or the steep path around the side of the cottage. There is a sloping gated driveway for one car and extra parking just outside the garden within the cul de sac for one further car. More cars can be parked back down the cul de sac if you turn right.
