Sitting in a small hamlet close to Cockermouth (2.5 miles), escape to this home and enjoy your secluded location. Liven things up with a trip to Maryport (6 miles), the southern gateway to the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a pretty harbour town with plenty of rainy day attractions to visit. Head to Cave at the Wave, the Lake District Aquarium or try your hand at go karting before walking the mile long promenade or the 5.5 mile coast road to Allonby. Closer to home is the birthplace of Wordsworth, Cockermouth, where a handful of pubs and eateries offer you somewhere to treat yourself to a tasty bite. Just 9.5 miles away lies Bassenthwaite Lake and below, is Derwentwater (15.5 miles). Set over many different levels, this home brilliantly caters for family reunions or getaways with friends. Stepping inside on the ground floor, find space to leave coats and one of four lovely bedrooms a twin with a TV for perfect lazy mornings. A shower room with WC can be found on this floor so there is no need to queue to freshen up in the morning. A handy utility/kitchenette area has a fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer, with a door leading outside. Climb the small flight of stairs to reach the open plan living area which is fabulously spacious and brimming with style. Take a seat in front of the TV, gather at the island with a drink or designate yourself as chef for the night and make use of the electric induction Range cooker, full sized fridge, separate freezer and integral combination microwave with oven. Enjoy the underfloor heating or stay cool and open the patio doors. Open tread stairs lead to the first floor which is laid out across various split levels, and includes the second and third of four bedrooms. The double has a TV and an en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. The master double bedroom with a dressing room also resides on this level and has an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower over. Up the stairs again to the second living space, another fantastic open plan area exuding charm and traditional features. Cosy up by the wood burner, dine in style at the table and spend lively evenings playing cards and board games before heading off to bed. The final bedroom with low sloping ceilings is located up a further set of open tread stairs where a writing desk awaits and leads to the double bedroom complete with en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi corner bath and WC. For a competition filled day, the separate entertainment building is home to a snooker table and houses a bar and a piano. Dotted with seating areas and places to grab a drink on various levels with steps, if the sun is shining there s a patio on which you can bask in the warmth. Enjoy fantastic sunsets from the grounds and find a fold away table tennis table in the barn. There is off road parking for several cars.
