This stunning property is set in a peaceful location yet just 5.5 miles from Keswick. There you will find all the shops, pubs and restaurants you could need, along with the famous Derwent Pencil Museum and the 6 mile Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail. Challenge your group to a hike up Skiddaw (9.5 miles) or Blencathra (12 miles); little legs might prefer the accessible trails at Whinlatter Forest (6 miles). The Lake District Wildlife Park (4 miles) is ideal for children, as is Mirehouse and Gardens (9 miles). Experience the 70 feet falls of Aira Force (18.5 miles), or take a leisurely ride on the Ullswater Steamers (21.5 miles). Enter the property and head into the dining room where the dining table comfortably seats ten and gets lots of natural light from the windows that look onto the lounge. From here there s access to the kitchen which has a rich, dark and contemporary look and is ideal for entertaining. There s a double oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer in here, so you have everything you need. From the kitchen move through to the lounge, where a spectacular glazed roof in the outer part of the room ensures you can enjoy the beautiful views of the fells. Everyone can curl up together around the TV/DVD on the sofas, or take a book from the bookshelf and read in peace. Via a corridor off the lounge, you ll find two bedrooms: a queen size and a double. Both are decorated in calming neutrals with pops of colour and share a large, contemporary bathroom with a bath, separate shower cubicle and WC. Climb the stairs from the kitchen to the first floor and you ll find the main king size bedroom. Exposed beams, low sloping ceilings and fresh decor make this a tranquil place to sleep, with a beautiful en suite shower room with WC that has more exposed beams and a vanity table to get ready at (also with low sloping ceilings). Two charming twin bedrooms with low sloping ceilings make use of colour to add character and share a bright, compact shower room with WC. Outside, a spacious garden awaits you. The patio area has a table big enough to seat everyone so you can enjoy BBQs in good weather, while the beautifully landscaped lawns and borders are worth exploring. There s also a path leading to Bassenthwaite Lake through the ancient Powterhow Wood. Off road parking is available for four to five cars.
