The sitting room is spacious and includes a cosy woodburning stove, a large screen wall-mounted Smart TV and stylish, comfortable furnishings. A delightful, well-equipped kitchen with open plan dining area and an adjoining utility area provide a great space to prepare family meals and sit around to enjoy a glass of wine and a good old catch up. A ground floor bedroom with king-size double divan luxurious bed and a modern en-suite with walk-in shower provide that little extra touch of luxury and are accessible for those with limited mobility. There is also a useful cloakroom in the utility area and a spacious entrance hall. Upstairs the cottage features a further four bedrooms, two with en-suite and a superb family bathroom with a relaxing bath. Outside, there is a decked area overlooking the woods and a luxurious hot tub, an ideal spot to relax after a strenuous day out on the local fells. Just a short distance away is the wonderful Windermere Golf Club, a most welcoming club with a great layout to suit all standards. In the opposite direction, a short walk takes guests down to the Lake Ferry where a short cruise gives access to the far shore, Hawkshead, Coniston Water and the magical Tarn Hows. All the facilities of Bowness-on-Windermere are are on the doorstep and the not to be missed attractions include the hand-made chocolate shop and the wonderful walks along the Bowness promenade where the many cruise ships run down the Lake to Ambleside. There are picturesque walks straight from the cottage door including the Dales Way which runs by the golf club, footpaths to Crook and Staveley and for the more adventurous, walks across to Cartmel Fell. Further afield Brant Fell which provides stunning views over Lake Windermere and its surrounding fells, including the Langdales and Crinkle Crags are some of the most outstanding challenges in this wonderful area.
