Situated in the centre of Keswick boasting amazing views over the Lakeland fells and the River Greta, this slate townhouse is the ideal place to enjoy a family or friends reunion. With shops, pubs and restaurants within metres of the front door and museums like the Derwent Pencil Museum just half a mile away, there s little reason to leave the town if you don t want to. Just outside Keswick, Whinlatter Forest has walking and cycling trails for all abilities, while Grisedale Pike (both 5.5 miles) will suit more seasoned walkers. Join the 6 mile Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail from Keswick Museum (200 metres) for a leisurely walk along and over the River Greta. This townhouse is set out over four floors. Entering into the property up a step and through a spacious and grand hallway, where you ll find a piano and other delightful furnishings, there is a large sitting room that has two separate seating areas. Rich, dark tones paired with cast iron effect gas fireplaces feature in both areas. Snuggle up on the sofa in the main area in front of the TV, or head to the smaller seating area and curl up with a good book. There s also a charming zip and link twin bedroom with peaceful blue and white tones; it can be made up as a super king size on request. Completing the ground floor is a fresh and bright shower room. Heading up to the first floor, a wonderful kitchen with a farmhouse feel awaits you; views of Skiddaw from the Belfast sink will make washing up a bit more pleasurable. Cook up a storm on the Range cooker and dine at the breakfast table with added storage for pots and pans, or eat at the huge dining table in the dining room. Gaze out at the views on the window seat, watch some TV or challenge fellow guests to a game of pool at the other end of the room. A welcoming double bedroom with soft, tranquil colours and an en suite shower room is the final room on this floor. Up to the second, you ll find three twin bedrooms. All of these can be made up into super king size beds on request at the time of booking. Each room is decorated in peaceful pastel colours to ensure a good night s sleep. A huge, bright and airy bathroom with a gorgeous brick effect feature wall, and a bath and separate shower cubicle is the ideal place for a bit of rest and relaxation. There s an additional shower room on this floor too, so there shouldn t be many queues in the morning. Up to the third floor, a spacious twin attic bedroom has a separate sitting area with a TV and sofa. You ll get one of the best views in the house from this room, overlooking the town and fells beyond. Outside, there s a utility room in a separate building with a washing machine and tumble dryer so there s no need to worry about getting muddy on walks. A peaceful enclosed garden has a lawn and pretty plants and shrubs, along with garden furniture for dining alfresco. Get the BBQ out from the shed and sizzle up a summer meal. There is a separate studio flat at the end of the garden and it has its own entrance. Parking is available for one car at the rear of the property, with further on street parking available half a mile away. Roadside parking is unrestricted overnight.
