Also nearby is Allonby (3 miles), known for its 5 mile beach and breathtaking coastal walks. The area has several beautiful beaches and a number of excellent golf courses. Heading inland, Cockermouth (9 miles) is the birthplace of William Wordsworth and marks an entry point into the Lake District, with Bassenthwaite Lake within easy reach (14 miles). Entering this airy and beautifully refurbished property, the hallway is perfect for leaving coats and boots before coming into the spacious and welcoming lounge. Featuring plenty of comfortable seating and a Smart TV, this is an ideal space to gather and relax in the evening. The kitchen has a useful island unit and is fully equipped with an electric oven and separate hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The dining area is by the French doors which offer fantastic views over the garden and towards the Solway Firth. The ground floor also has a cloakroom and a utility room where you will find a washing machine, tumble dryer and an additional fridge/freezer.
