Lakenhow, a stunning, spacious property with room for eight guests to be accommodated in very luxurious comfort. This newly renovated holiday home is an absolute delight, and we think will prove to be a favourite that groups of family and friends will simply not be able to get enough of.
There is much that makes Lakenhow and this neighbourhood very special, but perhaps we could start with the views, the pictures don't really do justice to the majestic scenery laid out before you from every window. You really do need to see these views in real life, quite breathtaking and very tranquil moments for the soul.
There are close links to the Cumbria Coastal Way... possibilities are many, from popular cycling and walking routes, to less well trodden paths. That is, if you can tear yourself away from the views at any Lakenhow window!
An "upside-down" holiday home, so guests can take advantage of the elevated views from the lounge, the upstairs is a spacious affair, with double doors to the lounge which can be thrown open to make the kitchen and dining area very accessible - a great space for a get together and socialising.
A double bedroom and full bathroom available upstairs, and two further triple bedrooms (double bed, single bed) downstairs along with another full bathroom with shower cubicle and roll top bath.
The gardens have just been landscaped so the planted beds are developing, and the garden is situated on several levels with two patio areas, a water feature and plenty of garden furniture to choose from for guests to sit out and enjoy, not overlooked and completely private in this large detached cottage.
Located in Ulverston, this vacation home is in a rural area and in the mountains. St Mary Magdalene's Church and Conishead Priory are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Lake District National Park and Bardsea Country Park. Traveling with kids? Consider Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway and South Lakes Safari Zoo. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
