Located in the heart of the old part of the stone built Derbyshire village of Calver, the property is within walking distance of the local shops, cafes and gallery. Spreading across the floor of the Derwent Valley, the village is surrounded by stunning scenery and walking routes, including gristone edges, heather clad moorland, grassy heights and limestone outcrops. The family run and allegedly haunted Derwentwater Arms sits overlooking the village and cricket field, the perfect spot to enjoy a pub lunch. The property is entered through the pretty stone wall and iron front fence into the dining hall. With stone flagged floors and an original decorative fireplace with traditional gritstone surround, this is a suitably grand venue in which to enjoy your evening meals. Beyond the dining room, the newly refurbished kitchen is fitted with a Rayburn Range Cooker and stocked with everything you should need throughout your stay. On sunny evenings, guests can enjoy an al fresco meal in the private courtyard located through the kitchen. Once you ve finished your meals, head to the sitting room to relax next to the log burning stove in one of the many sofas under the beamed ceiling. A twin bedroom, which has 2 steps down, and easy access to the downstairs bathroom with shower cubicle, toilet and hand wash basin which is also located on this floor, while the three remaining bedrooms can be found upstairs. The master bedroom features a super king size bed with an en suite shower room. There is a second bedroom with twin beds and tranquil views across fields. The final bedroom has a double bed and enjoys views to Curber Gap. All bedrooms on this floor have access to the family bathroom which has a large shower cubicle, bath, toilet and hand wash basin. Outside is a small private walled courtyard with afternoon sun, ideal for BBQs.
