The cottage enjoys peace and tranquillity being situated on a quiet no through road which forms part of the 8 mile circular lakeside walk/cycle track. The cottage has fantastic views over the lake, spacious interior with comfortable furnishings and its own private patio with garden furniture and BBQ facilities perfect for taking in the fantastic views over the lake. Our cottage is a 10 minute walk from the village of Kirk Ireton with village shop, school, church and public house. There's myriad of things to do when staying in The Croft, including a circular walk/cycle ride around the lake, a trip to Alton Towers and Carsington Visitor Centre which offers a wide range of land and water based activities with an RYA recognised water sports centre, cycle hire, restaurant, shops and an adventure playground.
