Alternatively, for the more energetic, a walk up through the village leads up on to the top of Baslow Edge for commanding views of the Derwent Valley. The market town of Bakewell is only a 10 minute drive away. This three bedroom cottage is filled with charm and character throughout. Spread across three floors, the exposed beams of the property provide a lovely sense of space and warmth. Downstairs the dining room boasts a gritstone fireplace and an open archway which leads through to the galley kitchen and all the essentials for attempting a Michelin style meal. The sitting room is at the rear of the cottage with a wood burner providing a central feature to the room and ample warmth on winter nights. On the first floor there are two bedrooms; one double bed and one with a single bed. The main bathroom is also located on this floor and consists of a bath with electric shower over, toilet and hand basin. Upstairs the spacious main bedroom extends into the eaves of the cottage, with an en suite bathroom and king size bed. The bright bedroom has a Velux window offering a glimpse of Chatsworth Park. Outside there is a rear yard ( access shared by neighbouring cottages) with patio seating, there is a bench at the front of the cottage which is a lovely spot for watching the world go by.
