For a wider selection of choice, journey to the nearby village of Stanton Hill, where you can enjoy a spot of pub grub at The Miners Arms, pick-up a takeaway with a choice of foreign cuisines, or stock up on ingredients with a visit to the supermarket. Whilst you're in the area, be sure to tour the 16th-century grounds of Hardwick Hall, an Elizabethan country house preserved by the National Trust, recognisable as the backdrop for Malfoy Manor in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, at the end of your day out head to the nearby Hardwick Inn serving home cooked hearty meals.
