There are so many places to visit whilst staying at Wescott House including Crealy Theme Park and Resort, which is a great day out for the children with rides and animals, so something for all ages. The Jurassic Coast is just 7 miles away; the coast path offers walkers stunning views with a bird’s eye view of many coastal features. From the coast path you can experience the drama of sheer cliff faces, taking in Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Seaton, Beer and Lyme Regis.
There are many National Trust properties and historic homes around Devon, including Greenway House, Agatha Christie’s holiday home, and there is even a special old fashioned bus to take you there. Other properties worth visiting include Killerton House, La Ronde and Castle Drogo. Visit Haldon Forest where you can horse ride, cycle, take a gentle stroll through the butterfly field or try out Go Ape where you can swing through the trees. Westcott House is ideally situated between Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks and both are worth a visit for their differences. Explore Exmoor with its deer or Dartmoor with its ponies, and both have great places to stop for cream teas. Beach 10½ miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
