For golf enthusiasts, Saunton Golf Club welcomes visitors and is ranked as one of the best in the UK. The beach is also great for surfers or any water sports. The pretty seaside village of Croyde (6 miles) is renowned as the mecca for surfing and it offers a plethora of pubs, takeaways, and craft shops. Walking enthusiasts are spoiled for choice here with coastal or rural strolls on the doorstep or you can venture out to Exmoor National Park (9 miles). The town of Lynton (22 miles) is connected to Lynmouth via a funicular railway which is the steepest water powered Victorian railway in the world. As you enter this quirky nautical theme cabin you will step into the porch area where you can leave your muddy or sandy footwear behind. From here, you enter the open plan living area where there is a comfortable sofa, a Smart TV and a beautiful cosy wood burner which is perfect for snuggling up on those cooler evenings and watching one of your favourite movies after a fun packed day exploring. There is a breakfast bar with stools that overlooks the far reaching views across the estuary out to beautiful Saunton Sands. The compact kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, a microwave and a washing machine. When night falls there is a bedroom with a king size bed and a bathroom with a freestanding bath, walk in shower and WC. Patio doors lead to the enclosed garden where you can sit and enjoy the stunning panoramic views with your morning coffee or dine alfresco on the warmer evenings with the charcoal BBQ.
