Resting in an idyllic waterfront location in the charming suburb of Hooe, 2 Beach Cottage is a semi-detached holiday home in Devon ideal for a romantic retreat or a small family's escape. After undergoing excellent renovations, 2 Beach Cottage enjoys contemporary features and uninterrupted views of the water from the composite decked balcony. Enjoy time with your loved ones in the dual-aspect open-plan living space, where a blue velvet sofa is an inviting spot to lounge on, with a TV mounted on the wall and the large bi-fold doors offering beautiful views of the lake. Dine together at the dining table with food prepared in the stylish fitted kitchen, equipped with everything you can think of, including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Delight in relaxing on the decked balcony hanging over the water, with a glass balustrade to create seamless views, and outdoor furniture to sit out on in the sun as you watch the boats bobbing in the water. Head up the staircase to find the first of the bedrooms, home to a king-size with a TV and a Juliet balcony so you can admire the scenery as soon as you wake up, whilst the second bedroom boasts a single bed. Once you have tucked into breakfast alfresco on your private, enclosed terrace, gather your things and begin exploring the lovely area of Hooe, with a short stroll bringing you to one of the local pubs, and the nearest convenience store. Wander over to Mount Batten to enjoy views over to Plymouth from Mount Batten Tower, stopping in a café by the waterside to admire the various boats and watersporting activities going on, with Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre offering stand-up paddle-boarding and kayaking sessions! Take the water taxi from Mount Batten over to Plymouth's historic Barbican Waterfront; visit The Mayflower Museum, Elizabethan House & Gardens, and the National Marine Aquarium, while Plymouth Sound can also be reached from here where you can experience spectacular views alongside incredible geology. Enjoy a picnic in Hooe Park, home to Smeaton's Tower, and next door to Tinside Lido, which is always popular on a warm day. Discover excellent shopping and dining choices at the fabulous Royal William Yard, set in a quaint old navy setting on the waterfront. Take another excursion over the water to Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park to spend a day exploring the large, well-kept grounds of this 16th century manor house, housing art, tapestries and porcelain collections to admire. Head south from the cottage along the South West Coast Path, taking a walk out to Wembury Point before continuing down to Wembury Marine Centre, with the beautiful Jennycliff Beach within easy reach of here too where you can soak up the sun and enjoy a refreshing beverage in its welcoming café. The Dartmoor National Park and the Tamar Valley AONB are within easy reach, with the Dartmoor Zoo being an excellent outing for any ages. Make wonderful memories in this beautiful Devon location at 2 Beach Cottage.
