Enjoying a prime position on Salcombe’s beautiful waterfront and just paces away from the town’s collection of boutique shops, eateries and a choice of two beaches is this third-floor apartment, Salcombe 34. With its magnificent estuary views, this studio apartment, with it's good sized balcony is perfect for couples seeking a base to call home as they enjoy a traditional Devon holiday, with the added benefit of an outdoor heated swimming pool to soak up the summer sunshine and a private mooring on the pontoon. Head up to the third-floor and enter into the open-plan living space, where you will find a well-equipped kitchen and a large fridge with ice box included and all the appliances required to whip up home-cooked meals and a charming dining space for you to enjoy each other’s company, whilst savouring a glass of wine and tucking into your dish. Joining the space is the cosy sitting area, with a plush sofa waiting for you to sink into, positioned for enjoying the unsurpassed estuary views or flicking through the channels of the TV. Once the sun has set over the harbour, look forward to retiring for the evening by pulling down the double bed and snuggling under the sheets; the apartment comes with an additional single sofa bed, should you wish to bring another guest along with you (by request). The highlight of the studio accommodation is the private but spacious corner balcony, where you can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining with the soundtrack and backdrop of Salcombe’s spectacular waterfront vista to admire. There are also communal gardens with an outdoor heated swimming pool, a great place to soak up the sunshine during the Summer months. The private pontoon is accessed through the front of the garden and the slipway through the lower car park. Just paces away from the property are a plethora of places to eat and drink, with some restaurants serving freshly caught seafood for those special occasions and cosy pubs for those more casual evenings. Explore the estuary before uncovering the town’s past by visiting the maritime museum or heading to the nearby beaches of North Sands and South Sands. Alternatively, travel slightly further to the National Trust property of Overbecks to admire the subtropical gardens or hop on board the ferry, or your own boat moored on the private pontoon to spend the day at the sandy beaches at East Portlemouth. Other attractions within the area include the nearby town of Kingsbridge with its picturesque estuary and variety of shops, restaurants and galleries. Salcombe 34 is a delightful base for exploring this wonderful area with your loved one.
