Elm Cottage is a charming and newly restored property, well equipped and full of character. The restoration has been undertaken in such a way to retain many of the original features including an open fireplace with wood burner, exposed stone, timber and brickwork. Set in the heart of the popular and picturesque village of Colyford,a perfect base for exploring the area. There is an excellent Post Office stores and Butchers, superb cafe, bike shop and two good pubs just a short walking distance from the cottage along with further shops nearby in Seaton & Colyton.
The whole of the Jurassic Coast (including Seaton, Beer and Sidmouth), now a World Heritage site, is within easy reach and the lovely West Dorset seaside town of Lyme Regis is only about 15 minutes away by car. The popular Seaton Tramway, running along the Axe estuary, stops nearby offering a relaxing way to discover the local area. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with many wonderful inland footpaths nearby as well as the stunning South West Coast Path running along this section of the Jurassic Coast.
