Set in peaceful countryside, this lovely cottage converted from a traditional Devon linhay is a wonderful place for walking a spectacular area of Dartmoor. The quality fabrics, carefully chosen colours and original paintings create a haven which is relaxing and characterful. On the ground floor the large open plan living area is a sociable space, leading through French windows to the garden patio. The two bedrooms upstairs are restful, with beams and views of fields from the pretty double. Surrounded by a granite wall, the garden is a welcoming space to sit out, or you can wander further along a track to a meadow and stream where dragonflies dart. A friendly, traditional Devon inn is just over a mile away, or you can go a little further to the bustling small towns of Chagford or Okehampton, which offer a choice of inns, interesting shops and eateries. This is a brilliant base for walking Dartmoor and the ancient Mariners Way. Note: This property can be booked with Ref: 982185, together they sleep 8.
