Town: On the south coast of Devon, in the protected curve of Bigbury Bay, is the charming and undeveloped settlement of Hope Cove. The two beaches are a popular holiday spot for families, offering soft sand and rock pools for constructing sandcastles and fishing for little crabs. The settlement was originally used by smugglers, but it is now a fishing community where crabs and lobsters are still landed. The area's coastline has seen numerous shipwrecks go down, making it a popular diving location. There are several bars and restaurants located over the beach. From here, one may access the coastal walk, which travels in two directions, one to Salcombe and the other to Bigbury-on-Sea.
Located in Kingsbridge, this vacation home is in a rural area and by the sea. Overbecks Museum and Garden and Start Point Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Sea N Shore and Salcombe Maritime Museum. Slapton Ley Field Centre and Woodlands Family Theme Park are also worth visiting. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and hiking/biking trails nearby.
