The village of Worth Matravers on the Isle of Purbeck peninsula, offers the best of both worlds, surrounded by tranquil countryside and breath taking secluded seascapes, and yet only a ten minute drive from the popular seaside resort of Swanage. This contemporary extension to a traditional cottage has been lovingly finished to provide guests with a sleek and stylish retreat. In the main living space, an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a vaulted skylight, and large south facing windows flood the room with light, creating a beautiful space with a chic, modern feel. There is plenty of space to relax and unwind on the sofa and chairs, perhaps while enjoying a drink and a good book in front of the warming wood burner, or maybe cosying up and watching a film on the TV. A glass dining table sits in the window, allowing guests to enjoy the views over the surrounding countryside as they eat, well meals can be prepared in the kitchen which is equipped with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The microwave, washing machine, and a handy additional sink can be found in the separate utility room. The bedroom, meanwhile, is a restful king size room, next to which the bathroom offers a bath, separate shower, and WC. Large patio doors from the lounge area open out onto a gravelled seating area with a BBQ and garden furniture, beyond which a large lawned garden is a haven for wildlife where guests have been known to spot owls, badgers, and pheasants.
