Set in a rural spot with views across the Blackmore Vale, it s half a mile to the pretty village centre, where you ll find a shop and pub. Just 3 miles away is the market town of Sturminster Newton, which has further amenities, a pretty working mill and popular trailway, which leads to Blandford Forum. This is the ideal route for walking and cycling or plan a stroll along the Wessex Ridgeway. Hambledon Hill and neighbouring Hod Hill (5 miles) are also well worth a visit to take in the stunning views across three counties. The nearby River Stour boasts some excellent wild swimming spots, perfect for the summer months or explore local towns including Shaftesbury (8 miles), home to the iconic Gold Hill. There is space to dine just opposite and comfortable seating beside the wood burner and Smart TV. There is also a ground floor shower room with a walk in shower and WC, and stairs rising to the first floor. Due to the setting within the eaves, there are some areas of restricted head height, which only adds to the character and charm of the building. To the rear of the property is an open terrace with dividing privacy fence, hot tub, picnic bench, charcoal BBQ (in the summer months) and large open field, ideal for ball games. Guests are welcome to play tennis, badminton, volleyball or football at the adjacent private all weather sports barn (rackets and balls provided).
