For fishing enthusiasts, guests can arrange with the owner to fish on either the privately owned 4 mile stretch of the River Frome or on the private fishing lake which is within walking distance from the property. The area offers a wealth of pretty villages, sandy beaches and a coastline which has World Heritage status. The towns of Dorchester, Sherborne and Yeovil are easily accessible and there are many National Trust properties to visit. The popular seaside town of Weymouth with its sandy beach is a 20 minute drive and the harbour town of West Bay is a 30 minute drive. In addition to this there are many attractions including Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, Monkey World, Hardy s Cottage and Abbotsbury Swannery.
