Quietly set on a working farm, The Seaview Retreat is comfortable and cosy and has been refurbished in 2021 with the delightful living room making the most of the stunning views. Outside, the patio area with its garden furniture and wood fired hot tub is the perfect place to sit and relax either enjoying the sun or indeed best of all the dark starry skies at night!
The area surrounding The Seaview Retreat is breathtaking, from the rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches, to inland The Galloway Forest Park, Britian’s largest forest park with 300 square miles of wild beauty and where you will find the world renowned 7Stanes Mountain bike trail at Kirroughtree. A short 5-minute drive from The Seaview Retreat will take you to the Isle of Whithorn, an attractive little harbour village where you can sail, fish or just sit and relax overlooking the bay while perhaps enjoying a meal or glass of wine in the pub or tearoom. Visit Wigtown, which has officially been designated as Scotland’s National Book Town with a wide range of book related businesses, a book lovers haven. The larger town of Newton Stewart, known as the Gateway to the Galloway Hills, also has many excellent shops and places to eat.
Further along the coast you can visit many pretty little ports like Sandhead and Portpatrick, or visit Scotland’s most southerly point, the RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway Nature Reserve, where thousands of seabirds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer.
The Seaview Retreat can be booked together with The Dairy @ Kevans (UK35885) and Kevans Farmhouse (UK35886) to accommodate up to 14 adults and 2 children.
There is a disused barn beside the property which is not to be accessed. Guests should not enter this building.

Located in Newton Stewart, this cottage is in a rural area and on a river. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Mossyard Beach and Castle Haven Bay, while Swallow Theatre and Stewartry Museum are cultural highlights. Laggan Outdoor and Cally Gardens are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing and other activities like golfing.
