The immediate area has lots of walks and cycling routes so you can explore the beautiful countryside. Other local attractions include Caerlaverock, Threave and Drumlanrig Castles, Robert Burns' House and the Aviation Museum, all within 36 miles. You can enjoy sailing and kayaking in nearby Lochmaben on Castle Loch (6.5 miles). This pretty, semi detached cottage is bright and spacious with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. As you walk into the cottage, you will find yourself in the open plan lounge/diner which is separated from the kitchen with glass bi folding doors, allowing you to open up the whole space to enjoy catching up together with family or friends. The lounge has a cosy wood burner, inviting you to curl up and watch a movie on the Smart TV or relax with a good book. Off the lounge you will find two bedrooms, the first is a pretty twin overlooking the garden and the second is a double with a feature stone fireplace. There is also a small utility area off the lounge where you will find a handy washing machine; this room leads through to a shower room. The contemporary kitchen overlooks the garden and hills in the distance. It is well equipped and has a breakfast bar area where you can enjoy a morning coffee and make plans for the day ahead. Off the kitchen, there is a useful porch area which is ideal for storing muddy boots and wet coats. Head up the spiral staircase to the first floor. Here, there is a lovely double bedroom and a stylish bathroom adjacent which has a lovely free standing bath, the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring. Outside you will find an enclosed, lawned garden with pretty pine trees, seating and fabulous views across the hills and rolling countryside.
