Cottage In Sussex, Eastbourne

East Sussex. Sleeps up to 3

This property is situated at the heart of the traditional seaside resort of Eastbourne, just across the road from the town s wide shingle beach. The town s restored Victorian pier is just a three minute walk away with its nightclub, tea rooms, and fish and chip restaurant. Other attractions in the town include an interesting lifeboat museum, a seafront fort built during the Napoleonic Wars, and a fantastic outdoor sports centre, which offers tuition in stand up paddle boarding, windsurfing, and even raft making. There is also a good range of both high street and independent shops in the town, as well as a wide choice of pubs, restaurants, and cafes. The front door of this attractive cottage opens directly into the cosy lounge. This room has a lovely traditional feel, thanks to the whitewashed cobblestone walls and low ceilings, and offers a comfortable sofa, armchair, and TV/DVD. Just off the lounge is a contemporary style kitchen/diner which is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, and has a folding dining table at one end. There is a downstairs cloakroom and a door from the kitchen leads out to the patio area, making it easy for guests to enjoy al fresco meals. Steep, narrow, cottage style steps lead to the first floor where the first of the property s two bedrooms is situated: a double room which has a wrought iron bedstead and has been charmingly styled to create a tranquil retreat. The bathroom is also located on this floor and offers a sumptuous roll top bath, separate shower, and WC. A second set of steep turned stairs lead to a single room which is situated in the eaves of the house, and therefore has a low ceiling and some reduced head height. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture accessed through a door from the kitchen. There is private parking space within a gated carpark 0.1 miles away.
