The Space:
The Cooperage is a 2 bedroom property less than 5 minute walk to Crail Harbour.
Sleeping 4 guests in 1 double bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. 2 Bathrooms. Kitchen and Living room. Parking at front of the property. Back Garden.
The Cooperage is accessible via the main entrance located on the high street which is shared with the ground floor flat. Upon entering the building, the door to The Cooperage is directly opposite, with stairs going up to the 1st floor, from which the layout is as follows:
1st floor: Hallway with doors leading off to the Master bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room.
2nd floor: Hallway with doors leading off to the Second bedroom with twin single beds, and second bathroom.
A passage on the ground floor leads to the back garden with Summer House.
Neighbourhood:
Crail is a historic fishing village in the pretty East Neuk of Fife with charming cobbled streets that tumble down to the miniature harbour, which is sheltered by cliffs and surrounded by historic fishing cottages. Visitors flock to the harbour front for an ice cream and a stroll to see the fishing boats or to simply explore the timeless wynds within the village. In the summer, the Crail Food Festival is a treat for the senses. Visitors have been increasingly come to weddings at The Cow Shed which is nestled just outside Crail. There is plenty to explore while you are here including a heritage centre, galleries, local shops as well as local eateries such as delightful tearooms. Local amenities such as a bank machine and convenience store are also available. Within 15 minutes drive you have a plethora of the world’s best golf courses including the Old Course.
Getting Around:
Everything in Crail is within walking distance. The bus routes are all frequent and easy to use. Taxis are available relatively easy. 1 mins walk to town centre, 3 mins to Crail Harbour, 5 mins drive to The Cow Shed. Co-Op Supermarket in the town centre.
Guest access:
Guests will have full access to the entire property. No rooms will be off limits and all contents within the house are there for our guests use including wifi, the TV and the cooking implements.
Pre Arrival:
When the booking is confirmed you will receive instructions via a web link with all the necessary information to check yourself in at your leisure from 4pm. If early check in has been purchased check in will be from 3pm. Please note that access is not permitted to the property before this time, and we cannot store any luggage prior to check in.
Check in is via a secure key box for which you will be provided the code prior to arrival.
During Your Stay:
We are happy to communicate with all guests as much as necessary, but will otherwise leave you to enjoy your stay.

This vacation home is located in Anstruther. Crail Museum and Heritage Centre and Scotland's Secret Bunker are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Crail Golfing Society - Balcomie and Craighead Courses and Kingsbarns Golf Links. Cambo Estate Gardens and La Petite Epicerie are also worth visiting.
