Located close to the River Caerfanell, this property offers peaceful strolls along the canal bank towpath. More challenging walks can be enjoyed up on the Brecon Beacons, taking in the heights of Pen y Fan (14 miles), Cribyn (13 miles) and Fan y Big (9 miles). Mountain bikers should take on the famous Taff Trail, which passes through the village and stretches all the way to Cardiff in the south. For something a little more serene, discover the spectacular waterfalls at Blaen y Glyn and the large picturesque reservoir at Talybont, is often teeming with migratory birds. After a long and busy day, stock up on supplies at the shop in the village or sample local delights in one of the two village pubs. This delightful cottage offers a stylish bolthole for couples, families and four legged friends. Enter the open plan ground floor via a couple of steps. The well equipped galley kitchen contains an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine. From here, step through into the cosy sitting area with its wooden floors, dining table and bay window with seats looking out onto the garden. In the evenings, fire up the wood burner and settle in for a relaxing evening spent watching the Freeview TV, listening to music on the radio or CD player or choosing from one of the assortments of books and games available. There is a downstairs bathroom with a shower over the bath. Steep traditional stairs (with no handrail) lead to the two charming bedrooms, one low double with views over the garden to the river and Allt Mountain, and one single that looks out towards the canal. Outside, there is a delightful enclosed garden with terrace, table, chairs and a BBQ for al fresco meals and a lawn bordered by flowerbeds for the dog. There is roadside parking nearby.
