Aubrey Cottage is a beautifully renovated 3 bedroom townhouse set in the heart of the pretty market town of Cowbridge. Ideally located to enjoy the many beaches along the south Wales coast, just 22 minutes to the popular sandy bay and surfing meca at Rest Bay, Porthcawl. The property offers a substantial degree of comfort with a stylish interior design incorporating a blend of traditional and contemporary styling. The bright spacious open plan lounge has a comfy sofa, two arm chairs and lovely lighting options to create the mood you desire. There is a large dining table adjacent to the kitchen area that seats a minimum of six adults. The new fully equipped kitchen is a joy, it has a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and a combination gas/electric hob and over. There is an excellent range of cookware, utensils and crockery for those guests who wish to fully self cater or entertain family and friends. Guests love the luxurious bathroom with it's freestanding bathtub and walk-in corner shower and many have commented on enjoying their morning papers and coffee in the sunny breakfast conservatory with French doors that lead out into a peaceful, private sun-filled stone walled rear garden with a lounging patio, BBQ and fire pit. My favourite part of the house is the first floor landing, flooded with light and reflection from the clever sun tunnels, a spacious area with additional guest storage, leading to the 3 stylish guest bedrooms.
Just moments walk away from the high street, Aubrey Cottage is perfectly located to enjoy all that Cowbridge offers with its lovely independent shops, cafes, traditional pubs and award winning restaurants. The heritage coastal path and beaches are a short drive away. Cowbridge offers excellent transport links to all parts of South Wales. The M4 and A48 give excellent access to the Gower Peninsual and Brecon Beacons, loved for their stunningly beautiful scenery and ever popular with families, walkers and the family dog. Cardiff is a lively hub for music, theatre, sports and shopping and is just a 20 minute drive away or easily accessed on half hourly local bus that picks up just down the road from Aubrey Cottage.
Located in Cowbridge, this vacation home is in a rural area and on the waterfront. Cardiff Market and Queen Arcade are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Porthkerry Country Park and Cosmeston Lakes Country Park. Traveling with kids? Consider Dyffryn Gardens and Arboretum, or check out an event or a game at Principality Stadium. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
