The visually stunning location of this hillside property makes it a great choice for those who want to completely unwind and get away from all the stresses of daily life, whilst relaxing in the verdant surroundings. It is not, however, completely remote, as the town of Presteigne is just two miles away which is home to the award winning small museum The Judges Lodging. As well as an annual Summer International Classic Music Festival, it also offers a selection of shops, several pubs and restaurants. A little further afield, are the interesting towns of Ludlow and Hay on Wye. (Please check admittance for the various attractions). Guests enter this cottage into a short hallway which opens directly into the spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a stylish room with artfully exposed beams and far reaching views of the surrounding countryside. The contemporary oak and granite kitchen, occupies its own corner of the room, offering a Range oven with hob, a Belfast sink, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine can be found in a handy utility room which also houses a boot and drying rack. The kitchen area overlooks the dining area, with its large table and seating for up to eight, beyond which is the wonderfully inviting lounge with a window seat, two comfortable sofas, large picture window, and energy efficient wood burner. One of the property s bedrooms is located on the ground floor: a king size room with French doors leading to the decked area and benefits from countryside views, next to which is a shower room with walk in shower and WC. Wooden stairs lead to the first floor accommodation, where there are two further bedrooms. The first room which has bespoke Norwegian style twin beds, offering guests a lovely cosy night s sleep. There are two futons in this room, which are usually used as seating, but can be converted to single beds to accommodate two extra guests at an additional charge of 100 per week or part thereof. The third bedroom is a welcoming and restful room with a super king size (can be made up as twin beds on request). The bathroom has been beautifully designed and offers a shower over bath and WC. The outside space has had just as much thought put into it as the interior of the house. Guests will love relaxing on the large decked terrace which can be accessed via the dining area, and offers garden furniture as well as a BBQ to enjoy. Surrounding this area, there is a quarter of an acre of enclosed gardens, which blend seamlessly with the surrounding countryside and pastures. There is off road parking provided, as well as a secure bike store located next to the front door of the house.
