Harley Cottage is a detached, well-furnished and tastefully appointed holiday home, set in the popular village of Bourton-on-the-Water, famed for its series of low stone bridges which span the fast flowing River Windrush. All 10 guests can comfortably sit in the second living room with the inglenook fireplace featuring a cosy woodburner or the living room seats up to 7 guests. Plenty of sightseeing opportunities include the model village, Cotswold Motor Museum, Birdworld and perfumery. There are many individual shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy, as well as a gentle stroll by the water’s edge. Other nearby honey-coloured villages, well worth a visit are Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, with its famous Tuesday market, and Chipping Campden. The city of Gloucester, with its magnificent cathedral and tomb of Edward II is within easy reach, as is the Regency city of Cheltenham, with the famous racecourse. National Trust properties are plentiful, including Snowshill Manor and Woodchester Park. For horticultural enthusiasts, there is Westonbirt Arboretum, Kiftsgate Court and Hidcote Manor. Horse riding within a mile, golf within 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
