The small village of Clearwell is peacefully tucked into the valley, though small the village has a bustling community and is well served offering two village inns and restaurant. The property neighbours Clearwell Castle which is a wonderful wedding and events venue. And Clearwell Caves where you can step back in time to the days of mining. For walkers you are surrounded by countryside with well waymarked paths that will guide you through some breath taking scenery. Both the Forest of Dean and Wye valley are steeped in history with many medieval and market towns to explore, Ross on Wye, Monmouth, Tintern and Hay on Wye. And for a little more adventure outdoors there is canoeing and rock climbing at Symonds Yat, Mountain biking for all abilities throughout the Forest of Dean and for serious walking the Black Mountains just across the border. This beautiful dovecote is perfect for two, Grade II listed and lovingly restored by the owners of the farm that it is situated within.
