Often referred to as the Venice of the Cotswolds, the thriving village of Bourton on the Water is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Enjoying a great location, it is within walking distance of the Motor Museum, the Model Village, Birdland and for enthusiastic walkers and cyclists there is access to both the Winchcombe and Cotswold Way, established paths covering this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Further afield are Cheltenham, famed for the Gold Cup, Oxford and Stratford upon Avon. The area is also well served by the National Trust with Snowshill Manor, Hidcote Gardens, Chastleton House and Chedworth Roman Villa. Other attractions include Cotswolds Farm Park, Cotswold Wild Life Park, Weston Arboretum, Blenhiem Palace, Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetland, Gloucester Waterways Museum and the Cotswold Water Park. Take the pathway down this pretty terrace of honey stone cottages, pass through the wrought iron gate to your front door. Step inside into the lounge/diner, beautifully finished with a traditional style, wooden floors and complemented with oak furniture and leather sofas, a bay window offers views onto the many quaint cottages within the lane. A solid wooden dining table is great for entertaining along with access to a well equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. There is also a separate WC on this floor. When the day is done, climb the stairs to the two bedrooms, a double with views onto the lane and a further double with views onto the open countryside. Completing the accommodation is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Please note that dogs are not permitted upstairs. Heading outside, take a step out onto the patio area where you will find seating. There is an off road allocated parking bay immediately behind the cottage for one car (further parking for one car is available but must be arranged with the owner prior to arrival at an additional charge).
