The property lies in the unspoilt village of Barton on the Heath with superb walking opportunities from the adjacent bridle path, leading to miles of open countryside, with lovely gardens to visit, such as Hidcote or Batsford Arboretum and two pubs just a thirty minute walk away or five minutes in the car!. The Cotswold villages of Bourton on the Water and the Slaughters with a selection of good local pubs and restaurants are within an easy driving distance, as well as the famous Daylesford Organic farm shop. For an even wider choice of pubs, shops and antique stores the nearby Cotswold towns of Chipping Norton, Stow on the Wold and Burford are well worth a visit. There are many country sports nearby, including golfing, horse riding and fishing. This delightful cottage has a lovely cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove where you can curl up with an interesting book or relax with a glass of wine and watch a movie on the TV/DVD. If staying in for the evening, you will find a fully equipped kitchen/diner including an electric oven with hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. The dining area has a large farmhouse table seating six. On the ground floor is the king size bedroom and adjacent is the ensuite shower room with shower, wash basin and WC. Heading up to the first floor, you come to a large open landing/study area with a desk, on this floor is a double bedroom with an additional single bed on request (for an extra 40 per week or weekend). You will also find a remarkable family bathroom on this floor with traditional free standing bath, wash basin and WC. Large French doors, in the sitting room, open onto a sheltered sun terrace and garden, which is fully enclosed making it suitable for dogs and children. With a BBQ (on request), quality furniture and simply stunning views over the fields this is the perfect spot for a countryside escape.
