The Dovecote Cottage
The Dovecote Cottage was originally part of an old stone water mill dating back to 1350. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a shower) and a further WC. At first floor level there is 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 bedroom with 3 single beds, 1 bedroom with bunk beds, bathroom and further WC. There is also a door which leads out to the garden. Up the staircase at second floor level there is a spacious sitting/dining room, a well-equipped kitchen with microwave oven and fridge/freezer, 1 bedroom with a double bed and the second bathroom. There is a washing machine in the understairs cupboard.
There is parking for up to 3 vehicles.
Located in Lydney, this cottage is in a rural area. Sculpture Trail and Nelson Museum & Local History Centre are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Shire Hall and Great Castle House. Perrygrove Railway & Treetop Adventure and Way2go Adventures are also worth visiting. Fishing and swimming offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cave exploring and hiking nearby.
