Resting in a simply stunning setting near Moelfre on the east coast of Anglesey, is Penrhyn Barn a five-star holiday cottage which is the ideal destination for a family holiday or get-together of family and friends. With breath-taking views from almost every window in the house, the property has been designed to maximise its coastal position and is spacious, light and airy throughout. There are plenty of spaces for guests to enjoy with a sitting room, a snug and a sun room, so whether you all want to gather together to be sociable or you want to get away from it all with a good book and to soak up the panoramic views, it’s covered at Penrhyn Barn. The large kitchen/diner is a delight, and the designated chef will love spending time here whipping up a culinary storm for guests and when it’s time to serve up, the elegant dining table is ready for guests to pour themselves a drink, pull up a chair and look forward to long, leisurely meals together. If the Anglesey sun is shining down, then the extensive gardens are the perfect spot for carrying on the party outdoors with a patio area, lawns, patio furniture and a barbecue, guaranteed to give you some fantastic alfresco holiday memories to cherish. Come bedtime, and there are three stylishly-presented bedrooms to choose from including two super-king-size, and a twin, all with TVs and two with en-suite facilities. A ground-floor wet room completes the facilities. There is nowhere better to wake up in the morning than at Penrhyn Barn, which is a wonderful base for exploring the gorgeous isle of Anglesey. A few steps will take you down to the beautifully isolated Traeth y Ora beach, which means 'gold beach' - and you can see why! This virtually private beach is only accessible on foot. You can spend leisurely days on this wide arc of soft golden sand, keeping an eye out for seals and dolphins passing by. Take a stroll to the opposite direction into Moelfre which is well known for its lifeboat station and is somewhere you can stock up on essentials or jump in the car and head out to visit towns and villages along the Anglesey coastline including Amlwch, Trearrdur Bay, Menai Bridge, Beaumaris and Rhosneigr, where you will find a great selection of independent shops and eateries. Head out for days out to places such as Foel Farm Park, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Pili Palas Butterfly World, National Trust’s Plas Newydd and RSPB South Stack Lighthouse or take a cruise to Puffin Island and see what wildlife you can spot. A little further afield and towns such as Bangor, Caernarfon and Llanberis are well worth visiting. Guests can look forward to a memorable stay at Penrhyn Barn which offers unrivalled views, immaculate accommodation and a magnificent setting.
