Located on the banks of the Menai Strait and boasting unbeatable views is this superb holiday home, Telford House. Offering a wonderful garden for the summer months and a range of living areas providing a spacious dwelling, this delightsome house is ideal for a family get together at any time of year. On arrival at the property, off-road parking for eight cars greets you, before stepping into the grand hallway and admiring the traditional staircase. Make your way to the kitchen where you will find every appliance you need for a self-catering stay including a fridge/freezer, an oven and hob and a charming breakfast bar to enjoy your morning coffee at. From here, gather your group at the dining table to feast at the table while the unrivalled views of the nearby swirling waters take centre-stage through the window. Each room has an excellent view, whether it be of the Strait or the picturesque gardens encompassing the property. Allow the children to play in one sitting room while the adults enjoy a glass of wine in the other, or perhaps if you prefer to be broken off entirely with a good book for a couple of hours, choose from the adjoined conservatory or the reading area located at the top of the beautiful staircase. Completing the living areas is a snug with a TV and a charming music room with a piano, ideal for any musical types to amuse the group, providing hours of traditional entertainment. Climbing the stairs, the bedrooms have each been decorated with a neutral and airy décor, allowing plenty of light into the space; two of which have TVs, and two have en-suites, while the remaining bedrooms are serviced by a shower room and a cloakroom, leaving plenty of places to prepare for your day. The bedrooms consist of three king-size, a double, a twin and a family room which is split over the first and second floor and offers two double beds and an en-suite. Outside, you can take your dining alfresco and gather on the patio for dinner; the garden is lined with gorgeous mature plants and shrubbery and boast yet more fantastic views over the beautiful surroundings. If you do want to venture out and about, there are plenty of nearby pubs, restaurants and cafés to fuel your excursions as well as a good selection of local and historical attractions. Take a trip over the Menai Bridge to the The Menai Bridges Exhibition at the heritage centre before strolling into the town centre or around the surrounding villages. Make use of the abundance of footpaths, including routes along the Belgian Promenade and crossing the Grade I listed bridge over to mainland Wales. Avid cyclists and thrill-seekers can make their way into the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and explore the tremendous and varying terrains within the breathtaking scenery. Closer to your home-from-home, the children and animal lovers in your group will enjoy a day at the lovely Pili Palas Nature World and the fascinating aquarium at the Anglesey Sea Zoo which is home to over 150 species! History buffs will not be left short for days out either, with plenty of museums and historical architecture, both within easy reach, such as The National Trust’s Plas Newydd House and Penrhyn Castle both making wonderful outings for all the family. Whatever the weather or the occasion, Telford House is a magnetic property for a memorable family holiday to North Wales.
