The paddock is surrounded by a big old hedgerow and is planted with native trees. At the bottom of the paddock, a stream runs through two ponds, perfect for watching the resident ducks and moorhens from the perfectly positioned summerhouse. Rabbits and hedgehogs come and go in the grounds too making Deri Fawr a nature lovers delight!
Quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive from the sandy beach of Lligwy. There is also a fine network of footpaths all over the island, with many lovely paths passing close to the cottages. The Anglesey Coastal Path, with 125 miles of spectacular scenery to explore, is also nearby, and the helpful owners who live on-site have local knowledge and provide an excellent selection of maps, walking guides and a drying room for coats and muddy boots.
The lovely seaside towns of Moelfre and Benllech are a short drive away, and both offer pubs, cafés, shops and restaurants. Day trips to Ireland are easily accessible from Holyhead, whilst the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia and their fine outdoor pursuits are also within easy reach. Golf is also available locally.
