“Swn y Gwynt” meaning “Sound of the wind” is a lovely Victorian end terrace in the vibrant city of Bangor. Like all houses of that period Swn y Gwynt is blessed with high ceilings and well-proportioned rooms providing guests with a welcoming holiday home. Recently renovated to a very high standard this house eclectic in its appointed with a modern newly fitted kitchen but also with carefully chosen items of furniture keeping a traditional feel too. The house has some superb sea views overlooking Porth Penrhyn, a working quay still used by fishing boats regularly. There are also distant views of the fabulous Georgian coastal town of Beaumaris.
The location of the cottage is very good. It can be a great base to explore this part of the world with the mountains of Snowdonia close by with many walks and cycle routes and the beaches beautiful sandy beaches of Anglesey within easy reach too. There is Penrhyn Castle just 5 mins away in the car as well as some excellent places to eat and drink in fairly close proximity. Bangor Pier is walking distance from the house and there is a great expanse of green over the road from the house, a great place to walk the dog or stretch your legs.
Bedrooms:Two upstairs double bedrooms, the larger of the two has sea views and a TV.
Bathrooms:One bathroom upstairs with a bath, WC, washbasin and Electric shower over bath.
Kitchen:Fully fitted kitchen with Electric cooker, hob, fridge and microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer.
Sitting Room: Comfy seating for all guests, TV, DVD and an open fire (Coal available locally). There is also a nice reading area in front of the window.
Dining: Dining area is open plan with the kitchen and provides enough space for all guests.
Garden: Small enclosed yard to rear the rear of the property with table and chairs.
Heating: Gas central heating with an open fire in the sitting room.
Parking:The road in front of the house provides ample room for parking and guests can expect to park within 20 yds of the house.
