Browse the craft shops set within the grounds of the ancient castle and pick up a souvenir of your stay. Discover the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park by foot or cycle with the peaks of Pen y Fan (26 miles) and The Skirrid (23 miles) within reach. Both the Wye Valley Walk and Offa s Dyke Walk runs through Hay on Wye offering traffic free trails. Not to be missed is the ancient city of Hereford with its imposing cathedral, ruined castle and cider museum. Reached up a quiet lane, this lovely retreat enjoys a peaceful and private location tucked away in the mature forest garden. Step through the front door and into the galley kitchen where you will find everything you need to prepare meals for two.
