Hay on Wye the literary town famed for its annual festival. A little further afield, the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains and the stunning Elan Valley are definitely worth exploring whatever the time of year. Enjoy the drive through the estate before you arrive into the courtyard. This beautiful Victorian stone lodge is just brimming with character. The solid wooden door with storm porch offers a friendly welcome, step inside and leave your coats and boots behind. The lounge is accessed off the hallway, a large room with high ceilings and bay window, the sofa is a real statement piece and takes centre stage, there is a feature fireplace offering warmth and a TV/DVD ready for a good movie. Also off the hallway is a cinema room with 60" TV , sink back into the bean bags and cosy sofa to enjoy a good movie, the sofa is also a single bed with mattress for additional guests. The kitchen/diner is accessed off the lounge, well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The dining area offers a table for four with two occasional stools perfect for children. So when the time comes to bid goodnight, climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, a super king size zip and link (which can be made up as a twin on request) with stunning views and en suite bathroom with free standing bath, separate shower and WC. Step outside the property and enjoy the variety of gardens, there is also a table and chairs with BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining. There is off road parking for two cars.
