The bothy is set into the hillside on the edge of Clyro, a small settlement situated on the Welsh border, and just 2.5 miles from the popular town of Hay on Wye, where you will find cafes, restaurants, and the world famous bookshops. Enjoy rambles along the banks of the River Wye and seek out The Warren, a pretty spot for wild swimming. Browse the craft shops set within the grounds of the ancient castle and pick up a souvenir. Discover the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park by foot, with access to the rugged landscape of the National Trust s The Begwns, where you can enjoy spectacular views or take on the Hay Bluff and Twmpa where you gain further access into the Black Mountains. Both the Wye Valley and Offa s Dyke trails run through Hay on Wye, offering traffic free walking. Located up a quiet lane, this lovely retreat enjoys a peaceful location within the owner s grounds. Step through the front door where you will be pleasantly surprised with the vaulted ceilings and Velux windows enjoying the natural light. The studio offers open plan living that has been cleverly configured by the owner. The hallway offers space for coats and boots and then continues to the main living area where you have a lounge with Smart TV, a small collection of books and board games, a dining table, and chairs for two. The galley kitchen has been well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge with ice compartment. There is a washing machine and drying room available on site. To the rear of the studio, you will find a comfortable double bed with reading lamps and a storage area. There is a shower room with a shower and WC. Outside, guests can enjoy a private garden with a table, chairs, and BBQ. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the grounds along with access to the countryside. There is parking for one car and secure bike storage.
