This property enjoys a lovely location in the rolling Herefordshire countryside on the outskirts of the village of Goodrich, and is within easy walking distance of the village s impressive castle: a ruinous medieval fort which is now maintained by English Heritage and offers a fascinating look at the area s past, thanks to its interesting collection of Civil War artefacts. The property is within and area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is also within easy reach of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Wye Valley, and the Malvern Hills. For a change of scenery, Hereford, Ross on Wye, and Gloucester are all within easy driving distance. At the heart of the stylishly updated 14th century property is the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, an impressive space where guests will be drawn to spend most of their time whilst in the house. This spacious room runs the full length of the property, and has been designed to create a natural social space, perfect for enjoying a special holiday with friends or family. At one end of the room, the kitchen area is dominated by the original cider press which has been converted to create a huge breakfast bar/kitchen island. Guests will find everything they need in the well equipped kitchen, including an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. At the other end of the room, there is plenty of seating space to be found in the lounge area, with an assortment of inviting sofas and relaxing armchairs to be found arranged around the warming wood burner, and the TV/DVD. One of the property s bedrooms can be found on the ground floor: a super king size room which can be made up as a twin on request. This bedroom also benefits from an accessible wet room with a large shower and WC, as well as having its own entrance from the parking area, which is a great help when it comes to access. Stairs from the main living area lead to the first floor accommodation, where there are two further bedrooms. Both bedrooms have super king size beds which can be converted to twin singles on request. They also both benefit from en suite bathrooms, which each have a bath, separate shower, and WC. Finally, there is a separate cloakroom at the top of the stairs with a WC and washer/dryer. Outside, the property benefits from its own private terrace with garden furniture with fire pit, which makes a lovely place to relax and enjoy one another s company over a few drinks with dinner as the sun goes down. In addition to this, guests are free to explore the spacious shared gardens, which are mainly set to lawn, and have numerous benches and picnic tables for guests to use.
