This property is ideally situated for touring the Highlands and the West Coast, which offer many places of historic and scenic interest. Within easy reach are a wealth of outdoor activities including climbing, hill walking, sailing, water sports, golf, cycling and winter sports at the Nevis Range. This is a fantastic base for enjoying a wide array of wildlife and numerous fabulous walks, or you could sit back and relax and enjoy the sublime views. You can take a cruise on Loch Ness or visit the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre and Urquhart Castle which are all within easy reach. Close by at Drumnadrochit and Fort Augustus you will find a choice of shops, restaurants and pubs. Inverness is around an hour away. On entering this quaint traditional bothy, you will find yourself in the welcoming and cosy lounge/kitchen/diner. With original exposed stonework and traditional wood burner, the lounge is ideal for relaxing in and enjoying the superb views. Please note that the property does not have a TV. There s a charming dining area and you will find the kitchen is well equipped with oven, microwave, fridge and hi fi. You will also find a shower room. The accommodation offers one comfy bedroom which is accessed via a ladder leading up to gallery sleeping area where you will find a super king size bed. Stepping outside, you can unwind, relax and enjoy the glorious views from the lawn area which is within a well maintained 50 acre estate on the banks of Loch Ness. On the estate there are paths along Loch Ness, with others leading through the wooded estate to a pond with an island and a little Summer house in which one can read and relax, watching the birds and wildlife. There are very few opportunities to actually walk along the shores of Loch Ness, but Old Farm has about a mile of shoreline to explore. Fishing in both the pond and Loch Ness can also be arranged. There is a rowing boat available for use on the pond only, life jackets are provided.
