Bungalow In The Highlands, Fort Augustus

Highland. Sleeps up to 6

Set on the outskirts of Fort Augustus and within a couple of miles of Loch Ness, this property is ideally placed for exploring both the Highlands and the West Coast. Enjoy a boat trip or day cruise on the loch itself, and take a stroll along the Caledonian Canal with its many locks. The ruins of the historical Urquhart Castle in Drumnadrochit are also well worth a visit. The Great Glen Way runs from the north to the south of Loch Ness and is popular with cyclists and bikers alike. Fort William is just over thirty miles away, with Ben Nevis mountain range and the Jacobite Steam Train to name just two well known attractions. The bungalow entrance leads into a small utility area with a washing machine and a tumble dryer, which is convenient for leaving your muddy boots after a busy day of exploring. This leads through to a spacious kitchen that contains an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The lounge/diner is also large in size, with seating for six guests around the table. The sofas are placed around a cosy wood burner and TV/DVD, making it a lovely spot to spend your evenings. There are two sliding patio doors that lead out to the garden from this room, where you also have a great view of the bird feeders that attract lots of wildlife, including woodpeckers and red squirrels. Both bedrooms have use of a bathroom with bath and WC. The master double bedroom is spacious with an en suite shower room with WC. From this bedroom, glass doors lead out to the garden. Another double room and a twin complete the accommodation. The enclosed garden is mainly laid to lawn and stretches to over half an acre. There are small patio areas with garden furniture and BBQ where you can enjoy a seat in the sunshine whilst you dine alfresco. There is ample parking on the gravel driveway for three cars.
