Situated in the rural and quiet village of Braunston in Rutland is this gorgeous and very spacious barn conversion, The Granary. It is perfect holiday accommodation whether you are staying for a few days or a week or two. The large living room has stunning, double-height ceiling showing off the beautiful beams and enjoys a cosy wood burner for those cooler evenings. On the way to the spacious kitchen/dining room, you will pass through the study, the perfect place where you can respond to those all-important emails! The split-level kitchen/dining room is well equipped and is the social hub of the property. The ground floor also boasts a separate utility/boot room and toilet. At the top of the stairs, you are greeted by two large kingsize bedrooms (one with an en-suite bathroom) and a separate shower room. You will not be disappointed with your choice of accommodation!
Just over 2 miles and you are in the centre of Oakham, a traditional market town packed with heritage and with an array of local facilities, a railway station, Oakham Castle and Museum. Uppingham and Stamford are also easily accessible and enjoy plenty of local and independent shops, cafés, tea rooms and restaurants.
The Granary is well situated for attractions such as Rutland water with its 4200 acres of open countryside and nature reserves where you can enjoy stunning walks, bird watching at the local nature reserve, fishing, rock climbing, high ropes, golf, crazy golf, boat trips, water sports including windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, Aqua Park, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding during the summer.
There are plenty of places to visit including Burghley House, with its annual horse trials, 18 miles, Boughton House, Barnsdale Gardens, Sacrewell Farm and Rockingham Castle. Market towns slightly further afield including Oundle, Market Harborough and Melton Mowbray.

Lyddington Bede House and Browne's Hospital and Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Rutland Water Golf Course and Stapleford Park Golf Course. The Rutland Falconry and Owl Centre and Barnsdale Gardens are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing.
