Situated in Thorpe, a delightful village at the southern end of the White Peak area of the Peak National Park, Thorpe Cloud View cottage is a charming holiday location within the four-acre grounds of, but set apart from, Thorpe House, a late Georgian limestone grade two listed building of considerable character. The cottage, allocated the top rating of five stars, has uninterrupted views of Thorpe Cloud, at the entrance to Dovedale, the limestone gorge which separates Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The surrounding areas provide excellent walking. The picturesque Derbyshire market town of Ashbourne is just some 3 miles away; the spa town of Buxton, and the historic houses of Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and Kedleston are all within easy access. Alton Towers, the UK’s largest leisure park is only a twenty-minute drive away. Arrival is from 3pm and departure before 9:30am.
