No smoking. Please note: There is a pond in the grounds, 25 yards away.. Honeysuckle Cottage is a luxury barn conversion set on the edge of the pretty village of Oasby. It is part of the owner’s grass and arable farm and they have a great interest in wildlife and conservation. All visitors are welcome to access all the farm. It is an ideal base from which to explore the area. Numerous walks and cycle routes are close at hand and a lovely country pub, with fine real ales and delicious food, is only a 5-minute stroll away.
For those wishing to explore further afield, Stamford, Lincoln, Newark and Uppingham offer castles, museums, antique centres and numerous pubs and restaurants. Those interested in WWII can visit the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby, and the newly completed Bomber Command at Lincoln.
There are numerous golf courses nearby including the National Golf centre at Woodhall Spa. Rutland Water offers various water sports throughout the year, and the circular track around the reservoir provides easy walking and cycling for all ages, with bikes available for hire. Oasby is also home to the British Eventing Oasby Horse Trials, which takes place twice a year on the farm, attracting world class riders to the event.
Shops are available 3 miles away, and there are several pubs in the locality offering a range of meals. The owners are happy for visitors to the cottage to bring their horses and/or ponies. We can provide grazing and plenty of maps for horse riding.
