A wonderful coastal village, Blakeney occupies a quiet spot on the North Norfolk coast, with its quay situated on the tidal reaches of the River Glaven. Hop on board one of the leisure craft and take a boat trip to see the seals at the neighbouring nature reserve at Blakeney Point, or simply enjoy leisurely walks along the river to the sea. Alternatively, visitors may like to try their hand at crabbing, a perpetually popular activity with guests of all ages and rather a relaxing way to spend an afternoon by the water. There is a choice of places to eat in the village, including a coffee shop, two pubs, and a fantastic delicatessen offering freshly baked treats: perfect for a seaside picnic. Step inside this Grade II listed cottage to discover an attractive retreat with beamed ceilings and well chosen stylish furnishings. The lounge, at the front of the house has a large bay window with a window seat which affords uninterrupted views of the quay, as well as a TV with Blu ray player for relaxed evening entertainment. Next to the lounge, the kitchen/diner has been simply but tastefully furnished in a country style and comes equipped with a Range cooker, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, as well as offering a dining table seating eight. Door opens onto Mariners Hill which commands the finest views in Blakeney and where guests can enjoy a cup of tea / glass of wine and watch the sunsets over the estuary. Also on the ground floor you will find a new cloakroom with WC. Wooden stairs lead from the kitchen to the first floor where there are three recently refurbished bedrooms. Two of these are pretty double rooms, one of which is the master which has an en suite with WC and basin, whilst the other is a single room for which there is also an additional pull out single bed allowing the property to sleep six guests. The recently refurbished modern bathroom, also located on the first floor, has a power shower over bath and WC with inlaid shelves and demisting mirrors. The cottage also benefits from having a new high pressure water system providing high pressure hot and cold water throughout and a new Monarch water softener. Outside, the cottage benefits from a private sunny courtyard garden with a table and chairs affording guests a lovely spot to enjoy al fresco dining with family and friends.
