Day launch and river fishing, when it is in season, are available on the doorstep. The Norfolk Broads Museum is a few minutes walk away where you can discover the history of boating and The Broads. Wroxham, known as capital of the Broads, is only 8 miles away. A great family fun day out can be had at BeWILDerwood, a tree top adventure in Horning. The seaside resort of Sea Palling is 3½ miles away, or for quieter sandy beaches, take a trip to Waxham and Horsey. The city of Norwich makes for a great day out, with its cathedral, theatre, castle museum, excellent shopping, restaurants and cafés. Enjoy a day at the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, only 16 miles away. The Weavers Way runs through the town and provides good walking and cycling opportunities. Stalham itself provides a host of amenities including a supermarket, shops, pubs, and restaurants. Beach 3½ miles. Shops and pub 500 yards, restaurant 50 yards.
