You can explore three local reservoirs and the High and Low Force waterfalls in Hamsterley Forest (10 miles). There are plenty of great places to eat and drink, and you could head to the charming market town of Barnard Castle (5.5 miles) with its host of boutique shops, cafes and pubs, as well as the Bowes Museum and the castle itself. Other attractions include Egglestone Hall (3 miles), Raby Castle (11 miles) and Auckland Castle (17.5 miles). The lovely town of Richmond (20.5 miles) is also nearby. On entering this outstanding property, you will find a dramatic and generous entrance hall with a feature chandelier and sweeping staircase. Heated Yorkshire flagstones underfoot provide a warm welcome. The hall leads you through to the beautiful open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a wonderful living space with exposed stone walls, underfloor heating, oak trusses and vaulted ceilings. There are two light and spacious lounge areas one with a cosy wood burner and comfortable seating, and one with access to the Smart TV with Netflix. There's also a Bluetooth speaker and a selection of board games. You will also find a fabulous dining area with a table seating 10, perfect for any family celebration. The striking kitchen is equipped with a sleek quartz worktop and breakfast bar area, as well as an induction hob, two ovens, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and two wine fridges. The washing machine is housed in the hallway cupboard. Exploring the ground floor further, you will find the first two bedrooms, each with king size beds and TVs. These rooms can also be configured as twin rooms on prior request. The first room features an en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, while the second has an en suite shower room. There is also a wet room with WC on the ground floor. Going upstairs there are three further bedrooms, all with TVs and en suite shower rooms. There are two king size rooms and a twin room. Stepping outside, there's a large flagstone terrace enclosed by traditional stone walling and with amazing views over the River Tees and the Teesdale Way. There's plenty of outdoor furniture including a private hot tub so you can sit back and enjoy the day. A BBQ is provided, and there's a useful outside tap for washing down bikes, muddy dogs and boots. Secure bike storage is provided.
