The small town centre is a stone's throw away and is home to an array of unique shops, restaurants, tea rooms and the oldest sweet shop in England. This retreat is perfect for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and its quaint villages. The River Nidd, within walking distance, winds its way through the old town and there is an excellent park on the banks of the river, with Nidd Valley offering excellent opportunities for walking, cycling, and birdwatching. Spend a day browsing around Harrogate (14 miles), with its fantastic choice of cafes, art galleries, artisan shops and Turkish Spa. Or visit the village of Grassington (20 miles) the filming location for the show, All Creatures Great and Small. This cosy and romantic cottage has been lovingly restored whilst keeping its charm and character. The lower entrance door from the garden brings you in to the ground floor, which makes it handy when you return from a wet walk as you can leave wet coats and boots near the entrance. Make yourself at home in the charming sitting room, with its lovely views and countryside backdrop outside. Put your feet up and be warmed by the electric wood burner effect fire and switch on the impressive Smart TV, perfect for relaxing evenings in. Move into the country style kitchen/diner where you can rustle up a home cooked meal the kitchen is fully equipped and includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer for those holiday practicalities. Gather around the table for a meal together and plan your next day s adventures. When the night draws in, head upstairs to bed and choose from two lovely bedrooms: a king size with an en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC, or the super king size zip and link room (can be made up as twins on request) with an en suite shower room with a WC. Wake up and sit in the garden to enjoy your coffee whilst listening to the morning chorus of the local birdlife. This area is rich in wildlife and you may even spot a deer! Enjoy your home cooked meal outside and create some truly unforgettable memories. There is off street parking for two cars.
